What is Corona Virus [ Covid-19]
Coronavirus [ Covid-19]
Corona virus is an infectious disease that started in 2019. It is known to cause moderate discomfort and may produce mild to severe illness. Corona virus has also associated with hospitalizations and deaths.
The Corona virus began to spread worldwide in 2019, according to media reports by the World Health Organization (WHO). It was first seen in the spring of 2019 and rumors spread on social media that it was a new flu strain.
Corona virus is mainly transmitted through direct contact with infected people and their respiratory droplets. Corona virus can also be transmitted by contaminated surfaces, food or water.
The main symptom on its own is a runny nose, but the disease can also cause fever, coughing and congestion. Corona virus can be spread by close contact with someone who's sick or who has recently been. Symptoms of corona virus are similar to those caused by seasonal flu,1 and most common at this time of year. Most people who are infected with corona virus will have mild symptoms and won't need to see a doctor. The NHS advises that you should only visit your GP if you have: -A high temperature (fever) of 38C (100.4F) or above -Coughing so much that it's difficult to take in enough oxygen -Fatigue and tiredness that doesn't go away with sleep -Chest pain and shortness of breath.
-A headache that is severe and doesn't go away with painkillers -Dry or sore throat -Extreme muscle aches -Nausea and vomiting. Symptoms usually appear within 2-7 days after you contract the virus, with a range of 3-14 days. The NHS advises people who have been diagnosed with corona virus to stay at home for at least 48 hours after the fever has gone down.
Corona Virus is, without a doubt, the most contagious of all known viruses. And it can't be vaccinated against. But we can all keep ourselves safe by remembering these simple rules:
1. Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
2. Stay at least six feet away from sick people or their belongings.
3. Don't touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with your hands after touching someone else's infected areas
As with any new virus, all Corona Virus users should take precautions to avoid infection. First and foremost, do not share personal items like food, drinks, or eating utensils with friends and family who have recently had contact with a known case of the coronavirus. Second, avoid sharing your own belongings such as hand soaps and washcloths-the virus can be spread through skin-to-skin contact. And third, replace your personal objects as soon as possible if you think they may be contaminated with the coronavirus.
Be Safe!
